First Hour
A. Opening Meditation (5 min) – Arriving, Grounding & Connecting
After a week of caring for others, this is your space to pause, breathe, and be held by the collective energy of the group.
- We begin with a gentle welcome and grounding meditation to help you shift from the intensity of daily life into a space of reflection, presence, and connection.
- This is more than just a transition—it’s an intentional pause to settle your nervous system, clear mental clutter, and arrive fully and authentically in the moment.
- You are surrounded by a community of like-minded individuals who understand the depth of this work. Together, we create an atmosphere of support, curiosity, and shared growth.
This opening moment isn’t just about centering—it’s about feeling the collective strength of the group, grounding into the experience ahead, and stepping into a space where you don’t have to hold everything alone.
B. Live Case Discussion & Teaching (30 min total) – Learn IFS in Real Time
This isn’t just theory—this is IFS in action. Each session features two live case discussions, where real-world challenges meet expert guidance. Through interactive, unscripted conversations, you’ll witness how IFS is applied in real time, deepening your understanding in a way that textbooks and lectures can’t.
How it works:
- Frank selects a case submitted in advance and invites the individual to present it live.
- Through a thoughtful, guided conversation, Frank will ask questions to uncover the case’s deeper layers, exploring its dynamics, challenges, and nuances.
- This is an interactive, immersive experience—whether you’re presenting or listening, you’ll see firsthand how IFS concepts unfold in real clinical and personal contexts.
- Once the discussion concludes, Frank shifts into a powerful teaching moment:
• Breaking down key IFS principles that naturally emerge from the case.
• Demonstrating practical applications and strategies for similar situations.
• Providing clear, actionable takeaways that you can integrate into your own practice or self-exploration.
This case-driven learning approach allows Frank to go beyond the abstract and show you exactly how IFS works in the real world—giving you insights that stick and a deeper, more intuitive grasp of the model.
C. Breakout Discussion (15 min) – Reflect, Integrate & Connect
This is where insights turn into understanding.
After each case discussion, you’ll step into intimate breakout groups—a space to digest, reflect, and personalize what you’ve just learned.
- Unpack key insights from Frank’s teaching and the case discussion.
- Explore how IFS principles apply to your own work, challenges, or personal growth.
- Share hesitations, questions, and “aha” moments in a collaborative, low-pressure setting.
- Connect with others who are also exploring IFS, deepening your learning through shared perspectives.
These small-group conversations are where concepts become real, confidence builds, and deeper learning takes root. It’s not just about listening—it’s about actively engaging, questioning, and applying IFS in a supportive, enriching environment.
D. Group Sharing & Q&A (10 min) – Bringing It Back to Frank
After engaging in deep reflection and discussion, it’s time to come back together and tap into Frank’s expertise.
- Share key insights, questions, or breakthroughs that emerged in your breakout group.
- Hear diverse perspectives as others bring forward their biggest takeaways and curiosities.
- Frank responds live, offering deeper clarifications, elaborations, and spontaneous teaching moments based on what the group needs most.
This is where the collective wisdom of the room meets expert guidance—helping you solidify what you’ve learned, uncover new layers of understanding, and leave with actionable insights that stick.
Second Hour
E. Second Live Case Discussion & Teaching + Live IFS Demonstrations (30 min total) – Learn IFS in Real Time
Because one case is never enough to fully grasp the depth and versatility of IFS, the second half of each session brings a new layer of insight—either through a second live case discussion or a powerful, real-time IFS demonstration.
How it works:
Each month, the second half of the session alternates between:
— Live Case Discussion: A second case study with new challenges and perspectives.
— Live IFS Demonstration (Every Other Month): Frank guides a volunteer through a real-time IFS session.
No matter the format, participants will move into breakout groups afterward to reflect, integrate, and discuss key takeaways.
Months 1, 3, 5: Second Live Case Discussion
- A second participant presents a case, bringing a new perspective and expanding the conversation.
- Frank leads an interactive discussion, helping uncover key IFS principles as they naturally emerge.
- Frank transitions into teaching mode, using the case as a springboard to explore IFS frameworks, interventions, and applications in depth.
▶ Breakout Discussion & Group Sharing (Follows Steps 3 & 4)
After the case discussion, you’ll move into breakout groups to explore the learning further, followed by a full-group sharing and Q&A session with Frank.
Months 2, 4, 6: Live IFS Demonstration
- Instead of a second case discussion, a volunteer shares a personal experience, and Frank facilitates an authentic, unscripted IFS session in real time.
- Witness how IFS unfolds moment-to-moment, with Frank demonstrating interventions exactly as he would in a therapy session.
- Gain an experiential, inside look at how different parts show up, interact, and move toward healing through the IFS process.
▶ Discussion
After the live demonstration, participants e full-group discussion and Q&A session with Frank.
This unique combination of live case discussions and real-time demonstrations makes the program dynamic, practical, and deeply immersive—bridging the gap between theory and real-world application.
